With great weather on the horizon, this weekend your event cup runneth over with possibilities. The Giants continue their home stand with games against the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks. Don’t forget Muni Metro service will take you to and from AT&T Park. Learn about going green at the Earth Day Street Fair while children learn first-hand that reading is fundamental at the Public Library’s annual Dia De Los Ninos book festival. On a serious note, join others in solidarity with one voice for SF Walk Against Rape.*

Cesar Chavez Festival
Saturday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
24th Street between Treat and Bryant streets

Looking to honor the life of Cesar Chavez, the festival continues his mission of educating, inspiring and empowering the younger generation. The festivities kick off with a parade beginning in Dolores Park and culminating down on 24th Street. The street fair will feature arts and crafts, music, sidewalk sales and a classic car show.

Public transportation will be your best option. Muni service on 12 Folsom/Pacific, 14 Mission, 14L Mission Limited, 27 Bryant, 48 Quintara/24th Street, 49 Mission/Van Ness, and 67 Bernal Heights will get you close to the celebration.

Cherry Blossom Parade
Sunday, 1 p.m.
Civic Center

The Cherry Blossom Festival continues this weekend. The festival finale, the Grand Parade, is on Sunday. Beginning in the Civic Center/U.N. Plaza, the parade will navigate its way up Polk Street then move westward along Post Street to Japantown.

Looking to catch the parade? Take the 2 Clement, 3 Jackson, 5 Fulton, 19 Polk, 21 Hayes, 22 Fillmore, 31 Balboa, 38 Geary, 47 Van Ness, and 49 Mission/Van Ness routes as well as the Muni Metro subway to either Van Ness or Civic Center station to get there.

Muni service note: Due to parade routes service on the 2 Clement, 3 Jackson, 5 Fulton, 19 Polk, 21 Hayes, 22 Fillmore, 31 Balboa, 38 Geary, 47 Van Ness, 49 Mission/Van Ness, and 76X Marin Headlands Express routes will be impacted.
