Getting information about a bidThere is additional information on doing business with the City and County of San Francisco on the SFGov Office of Contract Administration Web site, including a database of bids and contracts. Our search engine does not index this database, because there is no way for us to select only SFMTA contracts. There is also a page of Contract Opportunities on the Controllers Office Web site. Again, SFMTA contracts are not necessarily shown as such. If you want to know the results of a bid, you need to contact the Muni division which conducted the bidding process for that particular bid. If the results of a bid need to be approved by the SFMTA Board, that will appear on our Web site as a calendar item of the SFMTA Board's agenda for a particular meeting. You can use our search engine to try to find that calendar item. However, there may be a delay between the time the bid meeting is held and the time the bid contract becomes a calendar item. There may be a delay of up to 4 days after an item is posted on our Web site as a calendar item and the time it can be found by our search engine, as the search engine is updated only twice a week.
