Release date: Customer Feedback On Proposed SFMTA Shelter Styles Available

*** Press Release ***

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has released the results of the public comment received on the transit shelter designs displayed in City Hall on May 10-11, 2007 and on the SFMTA Website from May 14 to June 13, 2007.  More than 1,000 people provided input on the designs, including votes on best and least liked designs and specific comments on individual designs.  The comments and shelters can be viewed via the internet at www.sfmta.com/shelters. The SFMTA will consider these comments as it moves into the design selection process.  Please note that while the designs and submitted comments are available for review, no new comments can be added.  The designs for the transit shelters will be approved by the Arts Commission.

The SFMTA is in the process of negotiating a new Transit Shelter Advertising Agreement with Clear Channel Outdoor, Inc., an international media and advertising company that emerged as the highest-ranked bidder based on the results of an extensive bidding and selection process.
