*** Press Release ***

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which operates the Municipal Railway (Muni), today announced that all Youth discount pass customers must switch to Clipper by August 1. The Agency will continue its special Clipper card sign-up events throughout June to help Youth pass customers get signed up.

In addition, events will be held at select retailers and at the June 12 Sunday Streets event. The dates, times and specific locations of these events are listed on the SFMTA Clipper card events page.

At these sign up events, youths (5 to 17) or their parents or guardians may apply for Youth Clipper cards by completing an application and showing proof of age. These customers will receive their cards by mail.

The paper version of the Youth monthly pass will be discontinued as of August 1. Sales of the July Youth paper pass will be limited to 11 SFMTA retailers.
