Contract Compliance Office program details American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009On February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the landmark American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Of this amount, the SFMTA is to receive an initial $67 million which is being directed to “shovel-ready” capital projects designed to rehabilitate, update and renew transit vehicles, facilities and vital systems, as well as to improve customer convenience features.
