Bike Plan Project Completion Status (update June 2012):

On the left, a chart shows that 20 miles of bike lanes have been installed since the bicycle injunction was lifted, representing 61 percent of the projects in the bike plan.  On the right, a second chart shows that 51 miles of streets with sharrows have been added in the same time frame, representing 68% of the sharrows slated to be added.

The following is a list of near-term bicycle route network improvement projects which have been designed and are anticipated to be constructed within the five years following completion of environmental review and approval of the San Francisco Bicycle Plan.  The projects are organized in eight geographic groups, as shown in the maps below.

*For these projects (projects including the * after the title), the proposed bicycle improvements are one piece of a larger planning, construction, or development project. Multiple design options may still exist and are encompassed entirely by the project options analyzed in the San Francisco Bicycle Plan EIR.

PLEASE NOTE: The “TOW-AWAY NO STOPPING ANYTIME” proposal for 17th Street will be changed to “TOW-AWAY NO PARKING ANYTIME” at the public hearing.
