On December 17, 2007 between 2:00PM and 3:30PM, you are invited to take part in an upcoming MAAC demonstration of a possible new mode of transportation, Double Deck buses. We invite you to come and see the bus and give us feedback on its features for seniors and riders with disabilities. Please join us at One South Van Ness for the demonstration. Keep in mind that SFMTA has not decided on a specific vehicle layout and is still exploring options for this service.

Should we choose to utilize these types of vehicles, we would be able to configure the layout to meet the specific needs of our riders, so we would love to hear from you.

SFMTA will have a double deck bus on loan for trial service between Dec. 12 – Jan. 8. On December 12, it will enter service on Route 49 from approximately 6:30AM-6:30PM. During the remainder of the trial period the double deck bus is scheduled to operate on Routes 38 , 38L, 1BX, and 14L. It will not operate on Sundays or on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
