Update

After the event, the 22, 28 and 28L routes may detour. If so, you can board at the following locations:

  • 22 Route: Fillmore and Chestnut.
  • 28/28L routes: Lombard and Fillmore.

Extra Service

For the Golden Gate Festival, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) will add extra Muni service to the 22, 28L and 30 routes starting at 1 p.m. and on the 43 Route from 6 to 8 p.m.

The SFMTA will also add a 47L Route.

The 28 Route will reroute all day.

47L Civic Center to Marina Green service

Pre-event, 1 to 8:30 p.m.

47L Limited service on Van Ness Avenue to the Marina Green. Only the following stops will be served:

  • Grove at Larkin, southwest corner
  • Van Ness and Geary
  • Van Ness and Sacramento
  • Fillmore and Bay, Marina Green

Regular fares apply.

Post event, 9:50 p.m. to midnight

Post event, customers can board at Fillmore and Bay to return to the Civic Center. Only the following stops will be served:

  • Fillmore and Bay, Marina Green
  • Van Ness and Sacramento
  • Van Ness and Geary
  • Grove at Larkin, southwest corner

Regular fares apply.

28 Reroute

This reroute is for all hours of service. During this reroute only, travel on Golden Gate Transit will be free between the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza and the stops on Lombard at Lyon and at on Lombard at Fillmore.

Note: Muni vehicles stop only at existing marked Muni stops. Reroutes over streets not normally served by Muni will operate non-stop over those streets. Exceptions to this policy, if any, would be noted above as "temporary stop."
