The Office of Supervisor Bevan Dufty and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) will hold a community meeting to discuss the SFMTA’s Rail Improvement Project on the J Church Metro Line:

El proyecto de mejoría de rieles de SFMTA empezara pronto en su vecindario

The Rail Improvement Project will provide a critical system upgrade which will help to maintain safety and reliability of Muni Metro system.

  • Work at the intersections of Church Street at 18th Street and San Jose Avenue at 30th Street tentatively scheduled for the weekends of March 5, 12, and 19, 2010.  J Church weekday service will not be impacted.
  • Work at the intersection of Church Street at 30th Street tentatively scheduled for three weekends in September 2010.

Construction Impacts:

  • 24-hour construction from Friday night to Monday morning.
  • During construction, Muni will provide shuttle bus for J Church Line from Church and Duboce streets to Balboa Park.
  • Rail work will require some street closures. Police officers will be on site directing traffic.
  • Some street parking will not be available in or near construction zones.
  • Residents close to the construction sites are subject to some evening noise.

Note: Muni vehicles stop only at existing marked Muni stops. Reroutes over streets not normally served by Muni will operate non-stop over those streets. Exceptions to this policy, if any, would be noted above as "temporary stop."

All times are subject to change based on actual conditions. Reroutes may be added, removed or changed, also based on actual conditions.
