Lines: 1BX, 14L, 38, 38L, 49 Updated January 16, 2008 The SFMTA and the Transit Effectiveness Project are conducting a trial of double deck buses. Thank you for your interest. Planned Schedule for Double Deck Bus Pilot We will run the double deck bus from a.m. peak to p.m. peak, Monday to Saturday, beginning Wednesday, Dec. 12 through Tues. Jan. 8: We will not operate the coach on Sundays. We have dropped the 28L from this schedule because of tree clearance issues along Park Presidio Boulevard. This schedule is subject to change.

Press Release about the double decker bus trial Fact sheet about the double decker bus trial From the fact sheet: Will the SFMTA charge fares while the bus is in service? We will not charge customers; however; we are requesting that customers complete surveys. Will the double deck bus be accessible to people with disabilities? This vehicle was designed to meet ADA accessibility standards. It is a low-floor bus with an accessible ramp and two wheelchair securements on the lower level. The front seats on the lower level will be prioritized for seniors and people with disabilities. The upstairs is only accessible by stairwell.
