Bus Routes: 8X, 30
Area Affected: North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf
Dates: Sunday, October 2, 2011
Time: 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Due to Madonna del Lume (Blessing of the Fleet), Muni is subject to re-routes and delays. The procession is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. from Washington Square, and proceeds to Jefferson between Jones & Taylor.

Jefferson between Jones & Taylor is closed to traffic from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and street cars will be turning back at Pier 39 until 4 p.m.

The F Market & Wharves will not serve Fisherman's Wharf between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; board at the Embarcadero east of Pier 39.

The 30 Stockton, and 39 Coit are subject to delays or detours during the procession from Washington Square to Fisherman's wharf. The Powell-Mason Cable Car is subject to delays.

In the event of a detour, the 30 Stockton would use Union Street to travel between Washington Square and Van Ness. Passengers wishing to go to the Wharf could get off on Stockton & Columbus and catch the 8X. Customers on North Point can use the 47 Van Ness to connect to the 30 Stockton, while customers at Fisherman's Wharf can use the 8X on Powell.

In the event of a detour, the northbound 8X Bay Shore Express would use Stockton between Columbus and Greenwich.

Note: Muni vehicles stop only at existing marked Muni stops. Reroutes over streets not normally served by Muni will operate non-stop over those streets. Exceptions to this policy, if any, would be noted above as "temporary stop."

Note: All times shown on this page are for expected effects on Muni service, not for the event or activity itself. Events or activities may start or end earlier or later than the times shown. All times are subject to change based on actual conditions. Reroutes may be added, removed or changed, also based on actual conditions.
