This page is part of the St. Francis Circle Project Bus Service alert.

There is K Rail service only between downtown and West Portal station during the St. Francis Circle Rail Replacement Project. Use the K-M Shuttle between West Portal and Balboa Park.

Both the inbound (to West Portal) and outbound (to Balboa Park) portions of the K Ingleside bus shuttle service will be shown on 511.org and NextMuni.com as the inbound K-M Shuttle.

The stop at West Portal and 14th is served by the K Rail Line service, not the K-M Shuttle Bus.

During the rail replacement project, all substitute stops that are adjacent to the Muni Metro accessible platforms will be usable by persons needing a wheelchair lift, except for the St. Francis Circle stop which will be under construction. Many additional substitute bus stops will also be accessible to Muni customers who need use of the wheelchair lift or ramps for boarding. Please see the project map or call SFMTA Accessible Services at the number below with questions about the accessibility of specific stops.

Customers are reminded to keep their valid passes or transfers as proof-of-payment.  Cash-paying customers please note that transfers are free and valid for 90 minutes.  The fine for not having proof-of-payment is $75.

K Ingleside - Balboa Park inbound to West Portal

  1. San Jose and Geneva, northeast corner; see 1st inbound K-M Shuttle time point on 511.org. Transfer from Balboa Park Station.
  2. San Jose and Ocean, island.
  3. Ocean and Phelan, island.
  4. Ocean and Lee, island.
  5. Ocean and Miramar, island, not recommended for lift-using customers.
  6. Ocean and Dorado, island.
  7. Ocean and Fairfield, island, not recommended for lift-using customers.
  8. Ocean and Westgate, island, not recommended for lift-using customers.
  9. Ocean and Aptos, island, not recommended for lift-using customers.
  10. Ocean and San Leandro, island, not recommended for lift-using customers.
  11. Ocean and Junipero Serra, northeast corner.
  12. The Lakeside Village stop at Ocean and the M right-of-way is served by the K portion of the K-M Shuttle; see 2nd inbound K-M Shuttle time point on 511.org.. Use the stop on the north side of Ocean Avenue at the right-of-way to go to West Portal.
  13. 19th at Sloat, northeast corner. Use instead of the St. Francis Circle stop, or use the non-accessible rail stop at West Portal and 14th.
  14. Express to West Portal.
  15. Ulloa at Lenox, northwest corner; see 3rd inbound K-M Shuttle time point on 511.org.

 

K Ingleside - West Portal outbound to Balboa Park

  1. Ulloa at Lenox, northwest corner; see 4th inbound K-M Shuttle time point on 511.org.
  2. Express to Sloat.
  3. Sloat at 19th, northwest corner. Use instead of the St. Francis Circle stop, or use the non-accessible rail stop at West Portal and 14th.
  4. The Lakeside Village stop at Ocean and the M right-of-way is served by the K portion of the K-M Shuttle; see 5th inbound K-M Shuttle time point on 511.org. Use the stop on the south side of Ocean Avenue at the right-of-way to go to Ingleside.
  5. Ocean and Junipero Serra, southeast corner.
  6. Ocean and San Leandro, island; not recommended for lift-using customers.
  7. Ocean and Aptos, island; not recommended for lift-using customers.
  8. Ocean  and Cerritos, island; not recommended for lift-using customers.
  9. Ocean and Victoria, island; not recommended for lift-using customers.
  10. Ocean and Jules, island.
  11. Ocean and Miramar, island; not recommended for lift-using customers.
  12. Ocean and Lee, southwest corner.
  13. Ocean and Phelan, island.
  14. Ocean and San Jose, southwest corner.
  15. San Jose and Geneva, southwest corner; see last outbound K-M Shuttle time point on 511.org. Transfer to Balboa Park Station.

Note: Muni vehicles stop only at existing marked Muni stops. Reroutes over streets not normally served by Muni will operate non-stop over those streets. Exceptions to this policy, if any, would be noted above as "temporary stop."
