Due to construction of the Central Subway project, Muni will reroute for several years.
Transit Impacts
- Southbound buses travelling to 3rd and Townsend will be rerouted onto Sutter, then south on Mason, east on Market (30/45) or Eddy (8X/8AX/8BX/91), and south on 5th.
- Northbound 8X/8AX/8BX/30/4591 buses will remain on their regular route.
- 2 and 3 inbound routes: transfer to southbound buses from Post and Powell to Stockton and Powell, one block uphill, or from Post and Taylor to Mason and Geary, two blocks downhill.
- 14 and 14L routes: transfer to southbound buses at 5th and Mission (8X/8AX/8BX/91) or 5th and Stevenson (30/45)
- 38 and 38L routes: transfer to southbound buses from O'Farrell and Taylor inbound or Geary and Powell outbound to Mason and Geary.
- Market Street routes/lines and Metro Subway: transfer to southbound buses at Cyril Magnin and Market (8X/8AX/8BX/91) or 5th and Stevenson (30/45).
