Community Connections

The Central Subway will:
  • Relieve surface congestion
  • Serve a low auto ownership population
  • Provide connections to SoMa (South of Market), Moscone Center, Union Square and Chinatown. It will also connect the redeveloped Mission Bay community, the new University of California, San Francisco Mission Bay campus and the revitalized Bayview-Hunters Point with downtown San Francisco

Community Support

The Central Subway Project has received overwhelming support from more than 20 organizations across San Francisco. Please view a sample (PDF) of the correspondence shared with the project and elected officials.
