The following permanent and long-term temporary changes are not reflected on the October 2010 system maps. Please see the individual route maps for details.
- N: Oct. 15, 2011, weekend service to Caltrain.
- 5 and 108: Dec. 16, 2010, Transbay Temporary Terminal changes.
- 5: Aug. 27, 2011, reroute in Civic Center.
- 8, 30, 45: Jan. 21, 2012: reroutes for Central Subway construction.
- 14L: Jan. 23, 2012, extension to Daly City BART during peak hours.
- 28L: Oct. 17, 2011, extension to Fort Mason.
- 38, 38L, 71 and 71L: additional changes on July 16, 2011.
- 39: System map incorrectly shows a clockwise loop at Fisherman's Wharf. The loop is actually counter-clockwise.
- 44: Nov. 30, 2011, reroute in the Richmond District.
- Additionally, the Marin County portion of the 76 Route does not appear on the map.

The downtown map shows the routes of day and evening Muni lines and routes for the northeast corner of San Francisco, including Treasure Island. The map also shows San Francisco streets, parks, schools, libraries, and points of interest.

The Market Street map shows Muni bus routes that run on or cross Market Street east of Van Ness Avenue as well as the F Market and Wharves line. It also shows Muni Metro station entrances and elevator locations, as well as major points of interest.

The Owl map shows Muni bus routes that operate overnight, 1 to 5 a.m., seven nights a week.
