Work taking place during N Judah Line Shutdown
Friday, May 11, to Sunday, May 13
WEATHER PERMITTING

Dear Neighbor and Muni Customer:

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which manages transportation in the city including the Municipal Railway (Muni), continues to improve Muni service and system reliability by replacing aging track and systems throughout the city. This Switch Replacement Project is part of regular rail maintenance by Muni’s Maintenance of Way personnel and consists of upgrades of the existing track  along the N Judah, L Taraval and J Church lines. A total of seven switches will be replaced along the N Judah Line over the course of several weekends.

The N Judah Metro Line will be shut down during this upcoming weekend due to construction on Church and Duboce and Carl Street. Preparation and setup work will take place on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Work will be conducted at the intersection of 38th Avenue and Judah Street on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is no actual switchwork scheduled for this weekend but there will be road work and repair of the trackway. Local access will be granted and all local businesses will remain open.
