About the AP Giannini Middle School and Sunset Elementary School Safe Routes to School ProjectThis project was made possible in part by the San Francisco County Transportation Authority through a grant of Proposition K Local Transportation Sales Tax funds. ***UPDATE*** We will be having an open house for this project from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. on Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Ortega Branch of the Public Library (Ortega Street at 39th Avenue). AP Giannini Middle School Project SummaryIn 2011, Caltrans awarded the Outer Sunset Safe Routes to School Project to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s (SFMTA) Sustainable Streets Division to improve safety for children, parents and community members walking and biking to Sunset Elementary School and AP Giannini Middle School.
