About the Horace Mann Middle School Safe Routes to School ProjectThis project was made possible in part by the San Francisco County Transportation Authority through a grant of Proposition K Local Transportation Sales Tax funds. Project SummaryCaltrans awarded the Horace Mann Middle School Safe Routes to School Project to the San Francisco Department of Parking and Traffic in 2003 to help improve several intersection crossings around the school and improve the signage and striping on the streets surrounding the school. Improvements to the school area included:
