Effective August 1, 2008,
certain DPT fines, fees and meter rates change in accordance with the
San Francisco
Transportation Code Sections 902(d) and 905.
Fine for parking in a Bus Zone
Violators are subject to a fine of $250. Parking in a bus zone is a hazard to passengers attempting to board or exit a bus and may prevent disabled individuals from boarding.
California Vehicle Code Section 22500(i) prohibits the parking, stopping or standing of any vehicle alongside curb space authorized for the loading and unloading of passengers of a transit vehicle.
Fine for Sidewalk Parking
Effective July 6, 2004, the fine for parking on the sidewalk (VC 22500F) is $100. Please call 415.553.1200 to report violations of this law.
