Note: Rates increase July 1, 2009. The Parking Authority oversees operations of the nineteen City-owned parking garages and twenty-one metered parking lots. The Parking Authority strives to provide clean, safe and convenient parking at reasonable rates. We also take pride in utilizing our City's parking assets to benefit residents, merchants and visitors in as many ways as possible. Many of the garages offer various services and amenities, including valet, carsharing, special discounted carpool rates, merchant validation, shuttle programs, electric vehicle chargers, secured bicycle parking and more. SFMTA encourages ridesharing by providing reduced on-street parking rates for authorized vanpools, reduced monthly rates in city-owned garages for authorized carpools, and reduced on-street parking rates for authorized carpools at several hospitals and other institutions. SFMTA also provides a variety of on-street loading and unloading zones for carpools and vanpools in the Financial District. Explore:
