Note: You can use the Residential Parking Permit Application (PDF) to apply for any of the permits below except the Contractor Permit, which requires the Contractor Application form (.doc). All permits require additional documentation; please see the table below to learn what’s needed to apply for each permit type. Did you know? Each household can request up to four residential parking permits. If necessary, you can request a waiver of this limit. Did you know? Active on-duty military personnel living in a permit area in San Francisco may purchase a residential permit even if their vehicle is not registered to that address. Did you know? Vanpools with permits are allowed to park at any meter or in time-limited parking zones with a time limit of an hour or more but are still subject to tow-away hours and other posted restrictions.
