SFpark is the SFMTA’s smart parking management program. It uses best-practice parking management approaches and technology to manage the City’s parking supply to help achieve overall goals for the transportation system. Better parking management will:
- Make parking easier to find and easier to pay for.
- Reduce frustrating circling for parking, which means less congestion.
- Improve Muni’s reliability by reducing parking-related congestion.
- Reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions.
- Increase safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other drivers by helping drivers be less preoccupied by the search for parking.
- Increase San Francisco’s economic vitality and competitiveness.
- Improve the quality of life in our City’s vibrant neighborhoods.
