Start date: May 25, 2008 End date: May 25, 2008 Area affected: 24th Street between Bryant and Valencia Streets; Mission Street between 25th and 16th Streets The staging area for the parade will be on Bryant Street between Cesar Chavez Boulevard and 20TH Streets. Assembly for the parade will begin at 8 AM. The parade will begin at 9:30 AM from 24th and Bryant Streets. The route of the parade will be west on 24th Street to north on Mission Street to east on 17th Street to the dispersal area along 17th Street. The Carnaval Celebration has is a 2 day event on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th. The Celebration will be along Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets. After the parade participants are invited into the Festival area via Alabama Street. Streets will be opened up to traffic after the parade passes. Motorists can expect delays in the Mission District until 4 PM or later due to the length of the parade. All event participants are strongly encouraged to take public transportation to the Celebration and Parade.
