Area affected: Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets; 18th Street between Folsom and Alabama Streets; 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd Streets between Treat Avenue and Alabama Street and Mariposa Street between Alabama and Harrison Streets

This year the Carnaval Festival will span two days in the Mission District on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th. Event times will be from 10 AM to 6 PM each day. Street closures will begin at 10 PM on Friday, May 23rd for set up and end at 3 AM on Monday, May 26th for the breakdown and clean up.

The Carnaval Parade will begin at 10 AM on Sunday, May 25th at 24th and Bryant Streets. Please see separate Parade listing for further details.

The Carnaval Festival will be on Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets.

The following area will be closed to traffic beginning at 10 PM on Friday,May 23rd until 3 AM on Monday, May 26th:

Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets; 17th,18th, 19th, and 20th Streets between Treat Avenue and Alabama Street; Mariposa Street between Alabama and Harrison Streets; Mistral Street between Harrison Street and Treat Avenue; Intersections: Mariposa, 18th, 19th, Mistral and 20th Streets @ Harrison Street.

There will be no public parking available for this event. Event and Parade participants are encouraged to take public transportation.

BART:

Festival venue is within several blocks of both the 16th and 24th Street Stations.

MUNI:

There are several MUNI lines that will bring event participants close to the venue.
