Area affected: Fisherman's Wharf Area and The Marina Green Area

The following areas will be closed during the 4th of July Celebration in the Fisherman's Wharf area:

Van Ness Avenue between North Point and the MUNI Pier and Beach Street between Polk Street and the westerly terminus will be closed between 8 AM and 11:30 PM on Saturday, July 4th.

Jefferson Street between Aquatic Park and Hyde Street will be closed from 8 AM on Friday, July 3rd to 5 PM on Sunday, July 5th.

Jefferson Street between Hyde and Taylor Streets will be closed from 2 PM, Saturday, July 4th until 4 AM Sunday, July 5th.

The remaining areas of Fisherman's Wharf bounded by The Embarcadero,Van Ness Avenue, and Bay Street will be closed due to concerns of public safety as the number of pedestrians entering the area increases.

The closures will begin in the north of this area and move south as the crowds increase. The decision to close each area will be made by the San Francisco Police Department in conjunction with the Department of Parking and Traffic.

It is anticipated that these closures will start during the mid to late afternoon.

There will be shuttle service from the Caltrain Depot, the Ferry Building and from Van Ness & Market to the Ferry, Embarcadero & Bay and Van Ness & Chestnut. These shuttles will run from 2 PM to 8:30 PM.

Meet the shuttle buses at the drop off locations to return to your starting point. Buses will leave directly after the fireworks show. The last shuttle from the Wharf will leave at 11:20 PM.

The Marina Boulevard Exit off of Doyle Drive will be closed from 8:30 PM until Midnight.

Northbound Embarcadero at Broadway will be closed on July 4th between 9:30 PM and 11 PM.

Northbound Columbus Avenue will be closed at Bay Street between 8 PM and 11 PM.

Fireworks will be at 9:30 PM.
