Area affected: Piers 30/32 and The Embarcadero between King and Howard Streets

On Saturday, May 10th , KFOG will be presenting its Annual Fireworks Event on Piers 30/32 located along the Embarcadero between Brannan and Bryant Streets.

The event will be on the Piers. The event begins at 4 PM with music,entertainment, food and drink. At 9 PM, there will be a 16 minute fireworks show. The event is over after the fireworks.

For the second year, tickets will be required to go onto the Piers. The cost of each ticket is $ 15 in advance and $ 20 on day of event. Please refer to the KFOG website at www.kfog.com for further information.

Due to the large numbers of people expected, it is anticipated that The Embarcadero between Howard and King will be closed to accomodate the overflow crowd who will be coming to the area to watch the fireworks. It is estimated that the closure will start around 8:30 PM. However, we will be prepared to close the Embarcadero earlier if needed for public safety reasons.

It will be possible to view the fireworks along Herb Caen Way south of the Ferry Building and from Rincon Park which is located along the Embarcadero between Howard and Harrison Streets.

Parking will be limited in the area of the event.

Motorcycle Parking will not be allowed along the Embarcardero. There will be motorcycle parking located on Harrison Street between The Embarcadero and Main Street.. ANY MOTORCYCLES WITHIN THE CLOSED PORTION OF THE EMBARCADERO WILL BE SUBJECT TO TOW.

Please take public transportation. The 3rd Street T and N Lines go directly to event site. The #10 line takes you within walking distance of the the venue. If taking Bart, you can walk from either the Embarcadero Station or transfer to the T and N Line. In addition, Caltrain comes close to the area. There will be monitored bicycle parking between Piers 26 and 28.

There will be disabled parking at Pier 24 Annex and along Northbound Embarcadero near Pier 30. Please be advised that any cars parked in the area will have to wait until the crowds have cleared out before leaving.

There is a 1 PM Giants' home game against the Phillies at AT&T Park so the area around Piers 30/32 will be especially crowded at the beginning of the event.
