Area affected: Eastbound Market Street between 6th and 10th Streets

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, private motorists traveling eastbound on Market Street will be encouraged to turn right on 10th Street before being diverted south on 8th Street. Motorists coming onto Market Street from 7th Street will be diverted at 6th Street. Traffic flowing north and south across Market Street, will be unaffected as will cars traveling westbound. Public transit, taxis, bicycles, emergency and delivery vehicles will continue to fully access Market Street in both directions.

The last day of this phase of the pilot program is ending on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010. Please see the announcement Market Street Traffic Pilot to be Modified Beginning January 26 for the new information.
