SFO Managed Taxi System Hours Extended to 2am - UPDATED

TO:    San Francisco Taxi Drivers
SUBJECT:  UPDATE: Managed Taxi System Hours Extended to 2am

Beginning the night of Saturday, November 12, 2022 (morning of Sunday the 13th), the taxi pickup system at SFO will be staffed one hour later, until 2am. All open lot procedures will remain the same but will shift one hour later. This change is in response to increased traffic later at night. Taxis may not come to SFO under open lot rules until after 2am. Before 2am only taxis called to the airport through the TaxiVQ app or returning on valid shorts are eligible to pick up, after passing through the domestic garage holding lots.

UPDATE: The TaxiVQ app was updated on November 10, 2022, in preparation for the upcoming change. Even though the app will allow reservations after 1am starting tonight, these reservations will not be called in to SFO until the hours officially change on Saturday night. Open lot still begins at 1am until this Saturday night.
