Project Update: We're Starting Construction

The 8th Street Safety Project Phase 2 is entering construction in April. We ask for your patience and consideration as San Francisco Public Works and SFMTA crews work to bring these vital safety improvements to 8th Street from Harrison to Townsend streets.

Bus boarding island construction will start at Harrison Street, followed by Brannan Street. Construction will take place on Fridays after 7 p.m. and weekends from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., with no detours necessary. Pedestrian curb ramp installation will take place throughout the construction period. Work is currently scheduled to be completed in early May, weather permitting.

You can find additional information related to the project at sfmta.com/7th&8th.
