The SFMOMA is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony and neighborhood institutions are celebrating the day by opening to the public free of charge.

At the ribbon cutting, enjoy musicians, street entertainers, and chalk artists as well as performers from SFJAZZ, the SF Conservatory Collective, the Chinese American International School and Circus Center. Guests will also hear from Neal Benezra, SFMOMA Helen and Charles Schwab Director, along with museum and civic leaders.

The ribbon cutting and opening day events are free to the public; however, the 5,000 free tickets are gone. Museum entry on Opening Day is sold out. You can still purchase tickets for May 15 through Labor Day at sfmoma.org.
