Subway Service Alert:

The Muni Metro subway will open on its regular schedule this weekend: Saturday at 6 a.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. We do not anticipate any further late weekend subway openings due to overnight work to upgrade the subway’s communication system.

Production Shoot:

This Friday and Saturday, a production crew will be in both the Civic Center and Castro areas resulting in possible service delays on the 5 Fulton, 19 Polk, 21 Hayes, 24 Divisadero, 35 Eureka, and 37 Corbett routes.

Urban Air Market
Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Hayes Valley

The Urban Air Market has become the country’s largest outdoor festival that brings artists and designers together wtih customers in search of an array of sustainable products ranging from fashion, to home décor, to furniture and more.

Hosted at Patricia’s Green in Hayes Valley, the market will feature over 100 sustainable vendors and the warm and sunny weather will make for an enjoy afternoon of browsing, shopping, eating, and music enjoyment.

If you’re thinking about going to the market, why not make your travel sustainable as well? Your best options by Muni are the 21 Hayes, 47 Van Ness, and 49 Van Ness/Mission routes or the Muni Metro subway to Van Ness station being your best options.

Muni service note: Service routes may see an increase in ridership.

Sunday Streets
Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bayview

One of the longest Sunday Streets of the season returns to the Bayview and Dogpatch, spanning three-and-a-half miles of Third Street's southbound lanes, between 18th Street and Yosemite Avenue. With such a large area to cover, you will definitely want to make use of the free skateboard and BMX bike rentals. The host of activities to partake in includes a climbing wall, skate ramps, and breakdancing.

Leave the car at home and enjoy the afternoon by taking a ride on the 19 Polk, 22 Fillmore, 23 Monterey, 24 Divisadero, 29 Sunset, 44 O’Shaughnessy, 48 Quintara/24th Street, and 54 Felton routes. The T Third Line will run the length of the event.

Muni service note: Service on the 19 Polk, 23 Monterey, and  29 Sunset routes plus the T Third Line may see delays, while the 22 Fillmore, 24 Divisadero, 44 O’Shaughnessy 48 Quintara/24th Street, and 54 Felton routes will have re-routes. See more info on our webpage.

How Weird Street Faire
Sunday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

SoMa

Billed as “the cosmic stew,” the 17th annual How Weird Street Faire will be a creative and eclectic mix of art show, dance music showcase, and shopping bazaar centered at Howard and 2nd streets. This year’s activities will include 10 stages of varying types of dance music, Art Alley which will showcase the work of over 20 artisans, vendors offering their unique and colorful clothing and jewelry designs.

Due to street closures, parking will be limited. Consider taking the 10 Townsend, 12 Folsom/Pacific, 14 Mission, 14R Mission Rapid, or any Market Street service route to Market and Second streets. You can also take the Muni Metro subway to Montgomery station to get to the weirdness.
