This Weekend’s Fall Bonanza Fills SF Streets

Autumn is upon us and if you’re wondering how to usher in the season, this weekend serves up a kaleidoscope of possibilities.
Leading things off, the San Francisco Giants close out the regular season and make their final push for the playoffs at AT&T Park. Get all your game transportation details here.
Starting Thursday, tech enthusiasts gear up for Oracle OpenWorld at the Moscone Center.
Cole Valley Fair

Cole Street, between Carl and Grattan streets
Sunday Funday kicks off at the 12th annual Cole Valley Fair with two music stages, a classic car show, and plenty of activities, like a bouncy house and face painting, to keep the little ones entertained.
Help ease neighborhood congestion by taking Muni to the festivities courtesy of the N Judah, 6 Parnassus, 37 Corbett, and 43 Masonic.

Sunday Streets & Excelsior Festival

Excelsior District
Not to be outdone the Excelsior district offers a two-for-one special as Sunday Streets and the Excelsior Festival team up to showcase the multi-cultural beauty of the neighborhood’s art and food, plus the Excelsior branch library presents the Tricycle Music Festival. Be sure to play the Excelsior Bingo game!
Festival goers are encouraged to take public transportation: 14 Mission, 14L Mission Limited, 29 Sunset, 49 Mission/Van Ness, and 52 Excelsior

Susan G Komen Race for the Cure

The Embarcadero
October is breast cancer awareness month, but get an early start this Sunday with the The Race for the Cure. Since 1983, the race has helped to raise funds for education, research, treatments, and support services. Whether you walk or run, join thousands in supporting the cause and spreading the mission “to live in a world without breast cancer.”
The race will track along parts of The Embarcadero in between the Ferry Building and AT&T Park resulting in street closures.
Due to street closures and heavy pedestrian activity, motorists are advised to avoid the area until the race has finished.
Muni service note: the F Market and Wharves, N Judah, and T Third lines may see possible delays through the area.
