Construction Forecast: December 23, 2016 - January 6, 2017

Due to the holiday weekends, no work will occur Monday, December 26, or Monday, January 2.

Friday, December 23: Median work between Union and Filbert streets.

Tuesday, December 27: Median work between Broadway and Vallejo streets. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, the Overhead Contact System that powers the electric buses will be removed from Van Ness Avenue between Union and Filbert streets and from Union near Van Ness.

Traffic Advisory: Overnight Tuesday, December 27, the number of traffic lanes will be reduced from three to two on Van Ness Avenue northbound between Post and Jackson streets and southbound between Jackson and Washington streets. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, additional lane closures will include the middle lane on Van Ness southbound between Pacific and Washington streets and the curbside lanes in both directions from Green to Filbert streets. The roadway will also be reconfigured at Van Ness and Washington during these hours. 

Wednesday, December 28: Median work between Broadway and Green streets. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Wednesday and 5:00 a.m. Thursday, the Overhead Contact System that powers the electric buses will be removed from Van Ness Avenue between Union and Filbert streets and from Union near Van Ness.

Traffic Advisory: Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Wednesday and 5:00 a.m. Thursday, the curbside lanes in both directions on Van Ness Avenue between Green and Filbert streets will be closed.

Thursday, December 29: Median work between Washington and Pacific streets and Broadway to Union streets. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Thursday and 5:00 a.m. Friday, the Overhead Contact System that powers the electric buses will be removed from Van Ness Avenue between Union and Filbert streets and from Sacramento, Clay and Union streets near Van Ness.

Traffic Advisory: Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Thursday and 5:00 a.m. Friday, the curbside lanes in both directions on Van Ness Avenue between Green and Filbert streets and California to Clay streets will be closed.

Friday, December 30: Median work between Washington and Pacific streets and Broadway to Union streets.

Tuesday, January 3: Median work between Broadway and Union streets. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, the Overhead Contact System that powers the electric buses will be removed from Sacramento and Clay streets near Van Ness Avenue.

Thursday, January 5: Median work between Broadway and Union streets. Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Thursday and 5:00 a.m. Friday, the Overhead Contact System that powers the electric buses will be removed from Eddy, Post, and Sutter streets near Van Ness Avenue.

Friday, January 6: Median work between Broadway and Union streets.

Those who travel in and through the area are advised to take alternate routes and plan for delays.
