The 39/38R outbound bus stop on Geary and Stockton is temporarily closed due to construction through December 31, 2017.

The K-Ingleside and J-Church will be temporarily rerouted around the Balboa Park Station starting Tuesday, September 6 until March 2017.
The K-Ingleside Service will resume back to normal on May, 20, 2017.

Monday, October 3, 2016 (All day) to Monday, July 31, 2017 (All day)

For our Muni customers who transfer to/from BART at the Balboa Park Station, please be advised that starting Monday, October 3, 2016, the Balboa Park Station BART entrance on San Jose Ave will be closed until the end of the year.  

The closure is for pedestrian safety while BART and SFMTA are completing construction projects on the east side of the station.

SFMTA is the proud, primary city sponsor of Livable City's annual Sunday Streets program. 

Sunday Streets support the transit first core value of the SFMTA Strategic Plan by promoting more opportunities for biking, walking, and showcasing transit. These once-a-month car-free occasions also promote healthy lifestyles and enjoyment of our public spaces and streets, increasing overall health and quality of life for San Franciscans.

The 2017 season runs March through October spanning eight events throughout the city. As needed, SFMTA staff will be on hand to share relevant project updates and information on multimodal transportation options.

The Muni Metro Subway will shutdown on weeknights and weekends from 7/22 to 8/10 and 8/14 to 8/20 to test the new light rail trains. Updated 7/17 with more information about special events.
