Our Meeting Round-up feature highlights different SFMTA public meetings that will be held within the coming two weeks. These meetings give you the chance to voice your concerns and provide us helpful suggestions. Join us at our next meeting to learn more about SF's changing and complex transportation system.

Below are a few highlights. You can find a full list of upcoming meetings and keep up to date on your favorite SFMTA committees here.

Note: The SFMTA Board’s second December meeting has been cancelled. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6.

Vision Zero Task Force: 9:30 - 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16

San Francisco's Vision Zero policy commits the city to work together to prioritize street safety and eliminatte traffic deaths by 2024. The Task Force, which meets quarterly, is comprised of city staff and members of the community who are focused on meeting this goal. 

Tomorrow's meeting will feature an overview of the draft two-year action strategy to implement Vision Zero. The Task Force meetings provide a great opportunity to learn more about this citywide policy and to voice your opinion.

Balboa Park Station Community Advisory Committee: 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16

The Balboa Park Station Community Advisory Committee (BPSCAC) advises a number of local agencies on making improvements to the Balboa Park Station area. These agencies include the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, the San Francisco Planning Department, the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

The BPCAC meets periodically to provide feedback and to ensure that staff are delivering improvements that are timely and of high benefit to the community.

Interdepartmental Staff Committee on Traffic and Transportation (ISCOTT): 9 - 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 18

ISCOTT is a city staff-level committee that meets about twice a month to discuss proposed street closures for special events such as street fairs, marathons and neighborhood block parties.

The following city departments are represented on ISCOTT: the SFMTA (us), Public Works, Police, Fire, Public Health and the Port of San Francisco.

SFMTA is working on ways to make parking more understandable and convenient in San Francisco for our customers. As a part of this effort we are holding a public hearing regarding the legislation of new zones around the city. These usually include blue, green white and yellow zones.
