Results are in for Angled Parking Vote

Neighbors weighed in about adding angled parking to specific side streets near Taraval and the results are in: Overall, 38 percent of residents voted, with 81 percent saying “no angled parking” and 19 percent voting “yes” for angled parking.

Angled Parking Results by BlockThe only block with a majority of residents who voted in favor of the change was Santiago Street between 27th and 28th avenues. This block will convert to 90-degree parking in the coming months.

Each house on blocks where changes were proposed received a multilingual ballot in the mail to vote on whether they wanted to adopt angled parking on their block. As infrastructure upgrades on Taraval begin to rollout in the next few months, angled parking could be revisited as a tool to add parking supply in the area, but for now, most blocks will retain parallel parking.
