Most people in San Francisco are a pedestrian at some point in their journey, whether walking several miles, a few blocks to the bus stop or to a parking space. Walking not only improves personal health and quality of life, but it also helps make our neighborhoods friendlier, our air cleaner and the city's economy stronger. San Francisco's vibrant character stems from the number of walks we take every day. Together, we can make each of those walks safer.
