How Weird Street Fair

Sunday, 12 to 8 p.m.
SoMa

The How Weird Street Fair returns to its Howard and Second street-area home in SoMa this Sunday for its twentieth year. Join fellow weird and kindred spirits in celebrating peace, creativity and weirdness as the event showcases colorful costumes, music, dancing, art and much more.

How to Get There on Muni: Those looking for some weird fun can take Muni Metro to Montgomery Station, the F Market and Wharves Line, as well as any Market Street bus route, the 8 Bayshore, 10 Townsend, 12 Folsom/Pacific, 14 Mission/14R Mission Rapid, 25 Treasure Island, 30 Stockton, or the 45 Union/Stockton routes close to the event.

Muni Service Notes: The 10 and 12 will have reroutes, while other routes near the event may experience increased ridership and minor delays.

Sunday Streets

Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bayview/Dogpatch

Sunday Streets returns to the Bayview neighborhood, connecting 22nd Street in Dogpatch to the Bayview’s main corridor spanning Third Street and creating a safe and spacious temporary park for the community to enjoy. Discover Third Street’s small businesses with the Sunday Streets Explore Local Guide and new Common Cents Passport Program, available at the Sunday Streets information booth

How to Get There on Muni: Get to the car-free fun via the T Third Line, 19 Polk, 22 Fillmore, 23 Monterey, 24 Divisadero, 44 O'Shaughnessy, 48 Quintara/24th Street or 54 Felton routes to the event.

Muni Service Note: The 24, 48 and 54 routes will be rerouted. All routes to and from the area of the event may see slight delays and heavier than usual ridership.

Remember that you can take Muni for the entire day for a single $5 fare. The new $5 Day Pass, available on MuniMobile®, is part of Muni’s recent fare changes. The pass is intended to encourage a safe, convenient way to pay your fare and quickly board Muni vehicles, which reduces overall travel time for everyone. The $5 Day Pass is Muni bus, rail and historic streetcars only.

“On Tap” gives you a heads up about the big events in town and what Muni routes and lines will get you to the party. Look for this feature to be posted usually on Thursdays for a look ahead to the weekend. Check out our Weekend Traffic & Transit Advisory for more details.
