North Beach Utility Relocation 10/19/12

Construction Update

North Beach Utility Relocation

This week Central Subway crews continued sewer line construction in North Beach. Sewer work is planned to continue next week, and most of this week's traffic, transit and pedestrian impacts will continue (see below).

To facilitate construction in the intersection of Columbus and Union, next week the loading zone (yellow zone) on the south side of Union Street just west of Columbus Avenue may be impacted during construction hours. A replacement loading zone will be established around the corner, on the west side of Columbus Avenue just south of Union Street. Signage will be in place to identify the replacement loading zone, and a flagger will be on site to assist vehicles entering and leaving the loading zone. This temporary loading zone will impact two parking spaces on Columbus Avenue during construction hours.

Should you have questions about construction or the Central Subway Project, don't hesitate to contact our team. You can reach us at central.subway@sfmta.com or by phone at 415-701-4371.

We appreciate your continued patience while construction is in progress.
