Board of Directors Meeting

The SFMTA Board of Directors provides policy oversight for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and services in San Francisco. This includes the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni), automobiles and trucks, taxis, bicycling and walking. The SFMTA Board of Directors also serves as members of the San Francisco Parking Authority.

Our board of directors meetings are usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The agenda for Tuesday's meeting includes a presentation regarding Shared Mobility Device Services, Title VI Program Update and purchase approval of battery-electric buses for the Battery-Electric Bus Pilot Program.

Community Meeting/ Public Hearing: California Street Quick Build Project

The SFMTA proposes to reconfigure California Street from four lanes to three from Park Presidio to Arguello boulevards. Instead of two lanes in each direction, there would be one lane in each direction with a center turn lane. In addition to these changes, daylighting of intersections, high-visibility crosswalks, and additional safety improvements will be made to the street from 18th Avenue to Arguello Boulevard.

We’re looking for feedback from neighbors about installing a new traffic signal on Geary Boulevard at Commonwealth/Beaumont avenues.  Drop-in on Thursday, November 7, 4 - 6 p.m. at Earth’s Coffee, 3400 Geary Boulevard to learn more and talk to project staff. There are several ways to share your input:

Pedestrian Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC)

PSAC has been charged with providing expertise on issues concerning pedestrian safety, convenience, ambiance, and planning as well as advocating for pedestrian safety by engaging the public, Board of Supervisors and other relevant agencies. To better engage these entities, PSAC has documented their observations about the current state of pedestrian safety in San Francisco and their recommendations for improvements.
