L Taraval Improvement Project Work Forecast Jan. 27 - Feb. 7, 2020

Neighborhoods Affected

Work Forecast Plan for the Weeks of January 27 to February 7, 2020

Details of Work Performed:
  • Continuation of sewer main replacement is planned for the weeks of January 27-31 and February 3-7 between 40th - 37th Avenue on the northside of Taraval.
  • Continuation of water line work is planned for the week of:
    • January 27-31 between 45th and 43rd Avenue
    • February 3-7 between 43rd and 42nd Avenue
What to Expect:

Excavation requires jackhammering of the pavement. Dust control measures will be in place to prevent dust kick up from the work.

Heavy vibrations from the shoring and sheet piling work is expected for the entire duration of sewer main and waterline replacement.

Water line work is not expected to interrupt or shut off water service. 

Location and Time of Work:
  • Northside of Taraval Street between 45th – 42nd Avenue and 40th - 37th Avenue
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
Traffic Impacts: Some parking will be temporarily restricted in construction zones and traffic lanes will be modified in the northbound lane during active work. 
Muni Customer Impacts:
  • Continuing through Friday, February 21, the outbound L Taraval stop at 44th Avenue is temporarily relocated from the near side of the intersection to the far side,  Monday to Friday from 7:30 am until 4:30pm. 
  • Please note: Starting February 10 until February 28, the outbound Muni 18 stop at 46th Avenue will be temporarily relocated from 7:30am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. More information to come.

The following two-week construction forecast is subject to change due to weather delays or unexpected field conditions.
