Motorization of California Cable Car Line: Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 2022

Service Details

Critical maintenance work will be conducted on the California Cable Car Line from the start of service Wednesday, November 30 through the end of service Thursday, December 1. During those two days, buses will provide service on the line. During this bus substitution, all other cable car lines will operate as usual.
 

Important Information

  • Bus shuttles will stop at the regular cable car stops on California Street. Service will be unavailable at the Terminal on Drumm Street. Customers may board at Drumm and California streets in front of Hyatt. The stop on California at Powell Street will provide a transfer point between bus and cable cars.

  • Regular bus fare is required for riding the buses providing California Cable Car Line service. Visit our Fares Page for Muni fare details and payment options, including MuniMobile.
