TO: San Francisco Taxi Drivers
SFO will begin a runway reconstruction project on Monday, March 30, 2026. Arriving flights are expected to see delays, particularly flights scheduled to arrive between 9am-12pm and between 7pm-11pm. A greater need for ground transportation services is expected later at night and around the lunch hour, as flights are delayed from their scheduled arrivals mid-morning and earlier at night.
Taxi operators should expect reduced Virtual Queue calls during mid-morning and early-night hours and increased calls approaching lunch and later at night. Taxis are encouraged to accept VQ calls, particularly later at night.
