SFMTA is moving you with Pride. Celebrate Pride weekend on Muni and learn how to join the fun.

Pride is more than a celebration. It’s a collective statement of visibility, belonging and the right to move through the world freely and safely. And we’re here to help you be part of it.

You can count on Muni to get to events, marches and rallies across the city over Pride Weekend. That includes the 56th annual Pride Celebration, which runs Saturday, June 27 to Sunday, June 28. It’s one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in the world. About one million people are expected to attend!

This year’s theme, “Resistance in Action,” highlights LGBTQ+ love as an act of resistance against discrimination, exclusion and injustice.

As San Francisco’s public transportation agency, we are proud to connect communities and break down barriers to access. Learn about some of the Pride events happening this weekend and how Muni can get you there.

Pride is more than a celebration. It’s about courage, community and equality.

Our city, together in pride

The SFMTA proudly joins the 2026 Pride Parade as part of a City and County of San Francisco contingent. It will be led by the Department of Public Health (DPH) in partnership with San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department.

Together, this cross-agency collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to serving San Francisco as one city — united in equity, access and community pride.

Look for our rainbow-wrapped Muni bus as it makes its way through the parade route. You can track it using our fun map during the parade, or before as it serves riders throughout the city.

Moving you with pride and purpose

Different organizations and groups show their support by walking in the annual pride parade. Look for the Muni contingent and say hi if you see us.

When we show up together — on the bus, on the train and in the streets — we affirm that everyone has a right to be seen and to belong. Transportation is essential to public life, and our teams work every day to make Muni accessible, welcoming and safe for all.

We welcome you to join us for a full weekend of Pride events:
