Paving of Winston Drive and pedestrian improvements to shorten crossings at Lake Merced Boulevard are complete. Paint work is substantially complete and posts are installed.
Construction of the two transit boarding islands is complete with a concrete island and ramp at Lake Merced to be built in the coming weeks, along with some asphalt work at Buckingham Way.
Work is underway to modify the traffic signal to add bicycle signals and create a connection between the new bikeway on Winston Drive and the bike path around Lake Merced. Once the signal work is completed, the bikeway will be striped as two-way.
Our goal is to complete all work by the start of the school year in mid-August 2026.
