TO: San Francisco Taxi Drivers
Due to a technical fault with the new Android version of the TaxiVQ app, it was not possible to change
the queue opening time to 6:00am as planned on the morning of Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The
queue opening time will remain 5:00am until further notice.
The previously announced update and queue opening time change announced for Monday, November
24 will not happen. This is due to advice provided to SFO by Google that there may be some issues
for newer Android phones. The current app versions are stable and working well. The SFO
development team will double-check everything before making any changes or publishing an app
update. A further announcement will be made when an updated timeline is available.
