Alfonso Felder, an operations leader with significant transportation and urban development planning experience, serves as a member of the SFMTA Board of Directors. Felder has held a range of positions over his nearly 30-year tenure with the San Francisco Giants, starting as a 16-year-old usher at Candlestick Park. He later was a key player in the planning and construction of Oracle Park. Felder oversaw the development of the original transportation plan for the ballpark, as well as overseeing Oracle Park’s daily operations, managing capital improvement projects, and planning transportation systems for large-scale events. A San Francisco native with a long-standing track record of civic involvement, Felder works with multiple community organizations and is the president and co-founder of the San Francisco Neighborhood Theatre Foundation, a non-profit behind the preservation of numerous cinemas throughout San Francisco.
