Event Summary

The annual Carnaval Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 23rd and 24th, in the Mission District. Streets will be closed as early as Friday evening, May 22nd through early morning on Monday, May 25th. Continue reading for details.

Street Closures

These streets will be closed to car traffic for event setup, staging, and takedown. Local access will be allowed for residents only.

From 4 p.m., Friday, May 23 to 2 a.m., Monday, May 26:

  • Harrison between 16th and 24th streets
  • 20th between Harrison Street and Treat Avenue
  • 21st between Harrison and Alabama streets

From 7 p.m., Friday, May 23 to 2 a.m., Monday, May 26:

  • Harrison between 16th and 24th streets
  • Alabama (west side only) between 16th and 24th streets
  • 17th between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 18th between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 19th between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 20th between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 21th between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 22nd between Treat and Alabama streets
  • 23rd between Treat and Alabama streets
  • Mariposa between Harrison and Alabama streets
  • Treat between 16th and 21st streets
  • Mistral between Treat Avenue and Harrison Street
  • Intersection will be closed:
    • Harrison at 17th, Mariposa, 18th, 19th, Mistral, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd streets
    • Treat at 17th,  18th, 19th and Mistral streets
