Stephanie Cajina is a San Francisco–born and raised economic development leader with over 15 years of experience advancing urban planning, community development, transportation equity, and small business growth. An independent consultant, she advises on economic development, nonprofit management, and community-driven public-private partnerships across the Bay Area. She previously served as Executive Director of the Excelsior Action Group, leading neighborhood revitalization and championing minority-owned small businesses. Cajina currently serves as Vice Chair of the SFMTA Board of Directors—the first Latina appointed to the Board—where she brings a strong commitment to fiscal oversight, transparency, and community-centered transportation policy. She holds a degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cornell University.
