The Hop on Muni Pub Crawl returns! We hope you’ll join us Friday, Feb. 20 as we kick off this scavenger hunt celebrating San Francisco’s public transit and supporting local businesses.

We’ve partnered with Standard Deviant Brewing and the San Francisco City Football Club (SFCFC) to offer the crawl for a second year. It lasts through Sunday, March 1, lining up with SF Beer Week.

We hope to see you at our First Pour Celebration:

  • When: Friday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m.
  • Where: Standard Deviant Brewing – 280 14th Street, San Francisco

Transit and beer fans will raise a toast before hopping on Muni to complete the scavenger hunt. SFCFC will also share details about its upcoming season during the kick-off event.

Exploring lively neighborhoods

This year's crawl features 15 local bars along four Muni routes. Each bar will pour the Hop on Muni IPA, a citrusy, transit-inspired beer. Standard Deviant brewed this limited-edition beer for the crawl in partnership with the organizers.

The pub crawl will take bar-goers on a tour of several San Francisco neighborhoods:

  • 7 Haight: Haight-Ashbury, Hayes Valley, Inner Sunset, Outer Sunset
  • 14 Mission: Mission, South of Market
  • T Third: Chinatown, Dogpatch, South Beach
  • 22 Fillmore: Duboce Triangle, Mission, Potrero Hill

And we’re making it easy to find your nearest Muni ride along the pub crawl. You can use this Hop on Muni Pub Crawl Map to track your ride and pinpoint your next destination.

 Joining the scavenger hunt

Joining the scavenger hunt is fun and easy. You can download and print a game card or pick one up at any of the bars on the crawl. Participants will then collect four stickers — one at a bar on each Muni route — plus a couple extra from Standard Deviant Brewing.

Players who return their completed game card to Standard Deviant Brewing by March 1 will be entered to win fun prizes.

For more information, check out our Hop on Muni webpage (SFMTA.com/HopOnMuni). You’ll find a list of participating bars and the prizes.

You must be 21+ to play. We ask everyone who joins the crawl to drink responsibly and plan a safe ride home. Of course, Muni has you covered until late at night.

Celebrating local businesses

This pub crawl is about more than great beer. It’s about helping San Franciscans get to the local businesses they love. Local bars and breweries bring people together, provide jobs and keep our neighborhoods thriving. By riding Muni and stopping at these spots, you’re supporting the places that give our city its character.

We’d like to extend a special thanks to our partners, Standard Deviant Brewing and the San Francisco City Football Club, for supporting this pub crawl!
